Thomas J.E. Clark, M.D.

Thomas J.E. Clark, M.D. is board certified and specializes in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He graduated summa cum laude from Iowa State University and received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. T.J. Clark completed his internship and residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he was inducted into the Arnold P. Gold Foundation’s Gold Humanism Honor Society and awarded the foundation’s Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award for Outstanding Resident Role Model. After residency, he completed a two-year fellowship in Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and delivered podium presentations at regional, state, and national ophthalmology and oculoplastic society meetings. Dr. T.J. Clark is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Lancaster County Medical Society and the Iowa Eye Association.

Eye Surgical Associates welcomed Dr. T.J. Clark in July of 2020. He holds clinics in Lincoln and Kearney. Dr. Clark performs surgery at Lincoln Surgical Hospital, Nebraska Surgery Center, Bryan Health, and CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln and Kearney Eye Surgery Center in Kearney, Nebraska.

Dr. Clark grew up on a family farm in north central Iowa. He and his wife, Leah, have two daughters and two sons. They enjoy spending time together hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring the great outdoors. They are active members of their church.
