Thomas A. Graul, M.D.

Thomas A. Graul, M.D., a Lincoln native, is board-certified and specializes in medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataract surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, and completed an ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Graul practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in Wisconsin for six years following his residency. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, he was involved in teaching ocular surgery to ophthalmology residents at the Milwaukee Veterans Hospital. Dr. Graul further specialized in glaucoma with a fellowship at the University of Iowa, which he completed in 2000. Dr. Graul then joined Eye Surgical Associates of Lincoln, Nebraska as a glaucoma specialist.  Dr. Graul currently hosts clinics and performs surgery in Lincoln and Hebron, Nebraska, along with Belleville, Kansas.

Dr. Graul was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2010 and remains involved in education of ophthalmology residents.  Dr. Graul is Past President of the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and member of the Nebraska Medical Association, American Glaucoma Society and the Lancaster County Medical Society. He has held a number of leadership positions with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and currently sits on the Board of Trustees.  Dr. Graul is an Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Graul and his wife, Nancy, have twins. He enjoys fitness, biking, gardening and spending time with his family.
