In laser cataract surgery, the cataract is softened and broken in a precise pattern selected by the surgeon that allows for easier removal of the lens material with less use of ultrasonic energy. The LensAR is guided by an ultra-high-resolution imaging system which identifies every portion of the cataract lens and anterior ocular structures of the eye. It then develops a computerized plan for your incisions. The laser creates the capsule or space that houses your new lens implant in a near perfect circle allowing better lens positioning to achieve optimal results.. The 3D imaging and precision of the laser make these incisions safer and offer a quicker self-seal result.
